Responsibility:

  • Theoretical and foundation studies and research projects on Islamic architecture and arban planning within the related disciplines.

  • Assessment of the role of mosques in Islamic urban planning ,as well as taking the necessary steps for the proper design of mosques.

  • Survey of the different periods of national and vernacular architecture and urban planning of Iran in particular the the post-Islamic periods to find out their broadly applicable methods to attain a appropriate and applicable of planning and desing for the towns and buildings of different regions of the country .

  • Organize complementary training courses in urban planning and architecture within the framework of existing directives .

  • Establish links, with the appropriate academic center ,research institutions and professional accociations within or outside the country ,within the framework of existing directives.

  • Set up information bank and sites aimed at providing background support service to project teams as wall as to related organizations within the framework of existing directives.

  • Provide computer software services in related to urban planning and architecture ,and the produce technical/professional soft wares within the framework of existing directives,

  • Establish proactive contacts with home or foreign research centers,through organizing, gatherings,exchange of researchers or joint research projects,

  • Hold specialized international conferences within tho framework of existing directives,

  • Offer consultation services to government ,public or private sectors for architectural, urban development or construction projects at national to local scales in relation to activities of CAUSAR

  • Organize exhibitions of various architectural and urban planning projects ,independently or in conjunction with other organization,

  • Organize architectural compitions, and professional gatherings,

  • Produce,or translate scintifice, technical and research material related to professional issues with the aim upgrading the level of urban planning and architectural knowledge in the country , with emphasis on Islamic acpects,

  • Publish books and other publication, prepare, supply distribution and educational professional film,
